A special photograph

Hi bloggers, this Wednesday I'm going to write to you about a photo I took. 

I took this photo aproximatly two weeks ago. One of the things that I liked the most is take photographs to a natural sceneries, I don't know why, maybe is because Geography change your form to perceive the environment and you noticed things the other ones don't.  maybe not. The cuestion is that: this day was a rainy day in middle of March, a strange thing. I was traveling from my house to the university and suddenly the cloudy sky changed into a blue beautiful one. Everyday I looked the same landscape and  never realized how majestic was. This place are one of the last rural landscapes in the urban area of Santiago and it's located in his surroundings. That day I was a little sad and I liked so much how the mountains and clouds how they fit together and seem they are playing, that makes me felt better.  I think the simply things can be perfect too and we never notice them. 

First day as a Geographer :)

Hi everyone!

Tonight I’m going to write to you about my first day at University.  It was in 2014, all the vacations I had been thinking about the University so that day I was very anxious. Woke up at the right time and I did my things quickly to don’t be late. I took the bus and I realized that there was a huge traffic jam obviously I was going to be late.  Indeed I came approximately at 9:00.  When I entered to the classroom  I noticed the empty chairs were in the row forward. What a shame! All my classmates were already here and a old man was talking about the importance of Geography. Later one teacher  and the old man (really he was a career chief) gave to us the welcome and they congratulated us to joined the career of Geography at the University of Chile.

Afterwards the teacher showed us a Map of the Metropolitan Area of Santiago. We was to mark the place where we lived. One by one they were locating their homes and then my turn came. I lived in a town so far to center of Santiago and that one wasn´t appearing in the cartography so I didn’t know what to do. Everybody laughed at me and I laughed with them too. Finally I had to draw a line in the board out of the limits of the map and I put here the place where my house was.  In the evening I walked for the FAU facilities to know them.  I loved the faculty with this beautiful retro style. I liked all the things in there except the bathrooms They were a mess! L

That day I met a lot of friendly fun people and until today I don’t regret the career I joined one year ago and all the experiences I have lived in the University.

Best Holidays Ever!

Today I'd  like to write you about the best holidays that I had. I think it's when I was six or seven years (I don't remember the year exactly) and I went with all my family: mom, dad, grandpa, gradma and two of my ants to Valdivia. Valdivia it's in the south of Chile. This place have magic landscapes to see and enjoy. 

We stayed in a little but friendly cabin in the woods and spend two weeks in there, the cabin had a huge fireplace and was always burning because in the outside it's raining a lot, that winter it's the most rainy winter that I remember, my mom says "You can't go outside because it's too much rain you get wet and probably you catch a cold" Anyway I always slipped away  and went to the outside to play in the woods under the rain. 

We took long walks, we visited the center of Valdivia and his surroundings, saw a lot of fairs with a huge list of handmade articles.  We ate some typical food in there too. Specially sweet things like cakes and chocolates.

In the evenings my grandfather played to us some music in his guitar, he dind't know so much about how to play well but all the family laugh with the show he staged . Also we play with cards I was a poor player then, my mum always won. My and my ants make the prizes with things that we found in the nature.  

Maybe this didn't a expensive or exotic vacation for you guys but I keep the best memories of these days because all my family was happy and relax together. Now  it's too difficult for us reply that experiencie. I hope one day soon come back. This time with all the new members of my family.
